Checking adequate ventilation and air supply for safe operation
Ensuring all appliance controls and safety devices are functioning properly
Testing gas pressure and/or gas rate to confirm the appliance is operating within manufacturer specifications
Visually inspecting appliances and pipework for signs of corrosion, leaks, or unsafe connections
Checking electrical connections related to the appliance
Once the inspection is complete, you’ll receive your official Gas Safety Certificate (CP12 if required), giving you full documentation and peace of mind that your system meets current safety regulations.
Gas Safety Certificate
Once your Gas Safety inspection has been completed, Core Climate will issue an official Gas Safety Certificate (CP12) where required.
Your certificate will include:
The description and location of each gas appliance inspected
Details of the safety checks carried out
Confirmation that appliances meet current safety standards
Any faults identified and recommended remedial actions
The date of inspection and when the next check is due
For landlords of rented residential properties, it is a legal requirement to have all gas appliances inspected and a valid CP12 certificate renewed every 12 months.
For homeowners, although a CP12 is not legally required unless the property is rented out, annual gas appliance servicing is strongly recommended to maintain safety, efficiency, and reliable operation.
